I have completed a cursory read of your book “The Ugly Truth about Managing People”, which I purchased from you during the Gwinnett Big Expo held in August.
I believe the format you used is very effective for use in the development of a mid-level manager, with some value for more senior-level individuals. The use of a story as an introduction to the subject, along with a review of the application directly to the story, provides very practical information. The “Applying the lessons...” sections give nice clarity to the objectives of the lessons.
I have forwarded this book to the Human Resources Manager in the Lawrenceville plant (one of the eight for which I am responsible) to get her input on the potential use of the material in her location. In addition, I intend to purchase a book for my daughter, Nicolle Lewis (on my network), who is now experiencing a rapid increase of management responsibility at the Compass Group, Inc.
